WHAT ARE MICROLINKS?
Microlink extensions are beads that link your own hair to the hair extensions. Our hair stylist will put your hair through the link and then clamp it down to secure each extension so that a small strand of extension and your real hair are linked together. The methods vary however they are all done using the microbeads.
What Makes Maya Mitchell's Microlink Extensions Different than other Extension Methods?
With this method of hair extensions, there is no glue, tape, or bonding used at all. This means that these microlink extensions are the least damaging hair extensions you can get. Some of the perks also include you being able to grow your natural hair, have access to your scalp, and sleep in these hair extensions comfortably because they are flat, seamless and tension free.
Another perk is you can also shampoo, curl, blow dry, and style the hair extensions just like you would your own hair. You can even work out while wearing these hair extensions. Wear it up, braid it, pull it into a messy bun on top of your head — you can do pretty much anything you’ve done before with your hair in these hair extensions.
You will also save money over the lifetime of the style since you can reuse the hair extensions for up to nine months, with proper care and tightening (which we recommend every four to six weeks).

DOUBLE WEFT (medium to thick-thick hair)
This method uses 2 bundles of Maya Mitchell premium luxury hair extensions and is perfect for clients with medium to thick hair who are looking to add length and fullness to their natural tresses. This method uses a braidless sew in method using the microbeads as a base, sewing the double wefts on top using minimal thread. Achieve a seamless install with maximum style versatility and flexibility. High bun and ponytail approved!
I TIPS (medium to thick hair)
This method uses 100-150 (or the maximum the head allows) luxury Maya Mitchell I TIP hair extensions and is perfect for clients with medium to thick hair who are looking to add length and fullness to their natural tresses. This method uses individual strands of hair extensions and secures each one to a small section of your with a microbead. Achieve a seamless install with maximum style versatility and flexibility. High bun and ponytail approved!
Double/Single Weft Combo
This method uses 2 -2.5 bundles of Maya Mitchell premium luxury hair extensions and is perfect for clients with thin or fine edges and medium to thick center. This method uses a combo of both Single and Double Microlink methods to achieve a seamless natural install with maximum style versatility and flexibility. High bun and ponytail approved!

TEXTURE
Most people who come to our salon want extensions that match their own hair texture, but the choice is entirely up to you
(know that custom textures with custom colored hair extensions generally start at $350 - $500 dollars additional)
LENGTH
Think about how much hair you want to add to your head, and you can also vary the lengths of the extensions depending on the look you’re trying to achieve.
COLOR
Do you want to match your hair, go for an ombre or balayage hair color, or pops of bright color?
