Prelude Beauty is the best multi faceted Studio in Ferndale, and we’re ready to bring out the talent in you. Many techniques are examined in these classes. Makeup, Hair bridal hair styling, and sew-in weaving tutorials, but also incorporating treatments like the DE STS silking method. Students learn how hair techniques, professional skills, proper tools and face shape may dictate the style best suited for each client and individual. After mastering the basic techniques by replicating the techniques and skills learned, students begin to develop their own individual styles.

Bridal Styling
TRAIN with Styling Specialist Maya Mitchell of Maya Mitchell Hair Designs at Prelude Beauty- Previous work on Weddings, Red carpets, Events and accessive teaching in all areas of Fashion, Film, Period Hairstyling and Editorial.
In order to create any kind of hair styles you will need to understand the basics of hair styling. In this class you will learn how to prep the hair, how to use hair tools (pins, brushes, hair dryer, hot tools, etc), how and when to use hair products (texturizers, spays,serums, etc), how to properly blow dry hair, how to use and what kind of padding to use for hair styling as well as how to run a pre consultation to have a successful trial/event.
You'll have the opportunity to ask Maya any question uncovered.

Sew-in Weaving
We all know how great it feels to have your clients walk out of your Salon and be satisfied with the service they've received. Our highly trained professionals are here to tackle all your clients needs with a professional Weaving and Styling class that will leave you confident and feeling phenomenal about your added skills and income potential behind the chair. Register and learn one of the flattest most natural looking sew-in weaving techniques in this 4 hour hands on training — you’ll be glad you did!
Make Up Tutorials
Freshen up your look and learn professional skills and secrets from Talya Ashford from Beauty Box Makeup at Prelude Beauty. She will be leading you with a 2 hour eye make-up masterclass. Talya has over 25 years of makeup experience, and has taught some of the leading makeup artist in the industry with nearly a decade with M.A.C cosmetics, her own business, working with Brides, Celebrities and creating makeup curriculums for Michigan College of Beauty Schools. Over this time she has shared her knowledge with hundreds of workshop attendees and has honed simple tips and quick techniques that make you Look Good and Feel Glamourous instantly. She's known in the industry for achieving a natural finish with the right accent of glam and pops of colors while highlighting your own features.
